Easy teriyaki beef and walnut stir-fry

Ingredients


  1. 2 tsp sesame oil
  2. 600g Coles Australian No Added Hormones Beef Rump Steak or Scotch Fillet Steak, thinly sliced
  3. 1 red onion, cut into wedges
  4. 1 bunch baby broccoli, halved lengthways
  5. 1 bunch asparagus, woody ends trimmed, cut into 7cm lengths
  6. 2/3 cup (160ml) teriyaki sauce
  7. 1/2 cup (50g) walnuts, lightly toasted
  8. Steamed jasmine rice, to serve

Description

  • Step 1

    Heat half the oil in a large non-stick frying pan over high heat. Add one-third of the beef. Stir-fry for 2 mins or until browned. Transfer to a bowl. Repeat, in 2 more batches, with remaining beef.

  • Step 2

    Heat the remaining oil in the pan. Add the onion, baby broccoli and asparagus. Stir-fry for 5 mins or until just tender. Return the beef to the pan with the teriyaki sauce and walnuts. Stir-fry for 1-2 mins or until the sauce boils and thickens slightly.

  • Step 3

    Divide the rice and stir-fry among serving bowls. Serve immediately.
