Honeydew Margarita


  • 2 c. honeydew melon chunks (about 1/4 whole melon)
  • 1/2 c. silver tequila
  • 3 tbsp. fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp. orange liqueur
  • 1 tsp. agave syrup
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. Coarse salt
  • Lime wedges, for garnish


  1. In blender, puree honeydew until smooth; transfer to large cocktail shaker along with tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur and agave syrup.
  2. On small plate, combine sugar and salt. Rub rims of 2 cocktail glasses with lime wedge and dip into sugar mixture so it adheres. Add ice to shaker; carefully shake until very cold. Fill sugar-rimmed glasses with ice; strain margaritas into glasses.
